Mountain Climbing is the sport or hobby of climbing mountains.
Mountain Climbing differs from hiking by the degree of the verticals that need to be conquered. It requires a mix of strength, agility, and stamina/endurance.
Two important things to keep in mind when preparing to first enage in this sport are:
1. You are at the mercy of the natural elements. Wear proper attire, dress in layers, and make sure to have reliable weather reports before attempting any serious climb.
2. If you have not climbed to high altitudes before, you may experience altitude sickness. One was to help mitigate this problem is to prepare for it beforehand. Some climbers have used elevation training masks to assit them with their preperation.
