Supplements are an important element in the fitness industry today. Some of them have a very large market and one of those types of supplements is protein. Some people think that they need a protein supplement to get bigger and faster results and I am here to tell you that is not true! A supplement is something that you would need if you are not getting enough of a vitamin, mineral or something along those lines.

Do you really need to have it?Edit

If you are going into bodybuilding, are very active in sports, or you are just not getting enough protein in your daily diet (60g), consider buying a protein supplement. Protein supplements can be hard to choose from because there are so many of them. They may be called "Whey Protein", "Casein Protein", "Egg Protein", etc. Whey is the most standard and basic of them all. You would be looking to pay around $50.00-$60.00 for a standard protein supplement. It will last you quite sometime. It is cheaper to buy these things in bulk. Optimum Gold Standard Whey protein is the one that I would recommend the most from personal experience. There are of course many other popular brands like BSN and MuscleTech. You will get the most for your money and there are a lot of flavors. Go ahead and try some things out if you choose to purchase a protein supplement and good luck with your fitness goals!
